SPRING PLANTING
When the first Queen Bumblebee wakes in early Spring we hope that she will find the Daffoldils, Bluebells, Crocuses, Grape Hyacinth and into early Summer the Alliums which have been planted in the Gardens. These will give her nourishment and enough energy to establish her nest and feed her new brood of offspring. Without this food she will die and 50 - 400 new female bumblebees will not be born. Her nest would have failed.
